McDonald's sponsorship renewal a huge boost for Carniny Youth FC

The local franchise of McDonalds restaurant agreed to continue their sponsorship of the youth teams at Carniny Amateur & Youth FC.

McDonalds have been a major sponsor of Carniny for many years and their logo is displayed on all the Clubs youth football kits from under 10 to under 17.

The club thanks McDonalds and in particular the branch local manager Kade O’Reilly for all his help and support.

HUGHES INSURANCE FOYLE CUP

Any players out their who think they would be suitable for Carniny’s 1999 squad which will be participating in this years Foyle Cup, 18th – 23rd July should contact Billy O’Flaherty 07850669666, or make contact through the club Facebook page.

The tournament provides a great opportunity for talent identification by cross-channel clubs. Current Manchester United and Northern Ireland star Patrick McNair was spotted when playing in the tournament several years ago for Carniny.

SUNDERLAND COACHING VISIT

Carniny Amateur and Youth FC continue their partnership with Sunderland AFC when the club’s Foundation of Light coaches will travel to Ballymena in August to deliver a four day coaching programme in association with the local club.

Teams from Carniny have also been given the opportunity to visit the Premiership team and are welcome to attend again this incoming season.

The four day programme commences on Monday 8th August through to Thursday 11th August and each age group will receive two hour sessions each day of the four day period. The sessions will be held at Ballymena Showgrounds.

The programme is available to ALL local youth players with dates of birth from 2011 right through to 2001 inclusive. There will also be a Girls session incorporated in the programme. Morning Sessions will be 2011,2010, 2009 2008, 2007, 2006, 2005 and Girls mixed ages. Afternoon Sessions will be 2004, 2003, 2002, 2001.

COACHING/PLAYER OPPORTUNITIES

As always Carniny Amateur and Youth FC are currently on the look out for enthusiastic aspiring coaches to join their progressive club and are particularly interested in recruiting coaches for their Football Development Centre currently catering for children born in 2012, 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2009. Coaches will have the opportunity to achieve Coerver Coaching Diploma award and will also be progressed by the club through the Irish FA Coaching ladder.

Coaches will be fully funded on their coaching courses with all club coaches progressed on the IFA Coaching ladder and also funding available for Coerver Coaching Diplomas. Coach mentoring and full support will be given to all coaches under the eye of an ‘A’ Licensed coach throughout their time at the club.
