McEleney happy with NI call-up
DERRY City’s Shane McEleney spoke to Sentinel Sport’s Editor Kevin McLaughlin about his call-up to Northern Ireland’s Under 21 squad.
The big centre-back, who has also played for Republic of Ireland at underage level, admits he’s looking forward to the friendly in Hungary next Wednesday.
McEleney, will be joined in Stephen Robinson’s squad with fellow Candy Stripes man David McDaid.
The striker has impressed in recent week and has scored six times this season for his home town club.
