INSTITUTE welcome back striker Darren McFadden from suspension for Saturday’s visit of Bangor, to the Riverside Stadium (KO 3pm).

The talented front man has missed ’Stute’s last two games and boss Paul Kee believes his return is a massive boost for his side.

“We need a phyisical element to our game at the minute, (Darren) McCauley gives us a phyicial element, but Darren gives us something different in terms of leading the line,” conceded Kee.

“He gets his body in front of defenders, he’s like a traditionally type of centre-foward and he has got that in his locker.

“Darren McCauley would rather come off, take the ball and makes things happen, but he has to realise now that teams are going to be marking him and he has to deal with that, but with someone like McFadden back in the squad, that will hopefully free him.”

Another man who could be involved this weekend is ex-Coleraine striker Stephen Parkhouse, he played the entire NW Senior Cup Final tie against Newbuildings United, on Tuesday night, and he’s another pleasing option for Kee.

Unfortunately for the Waterside men midfielder Aaron Walsh misses out through suspension, after he was sent-off against Newbuildings on Tuesday evening.

“Parkie could maybe sit on the bench and come on, or he may even start and play for an hour, to be fair Parkie is someone who we need because he can use his experience and talk to the players.

“He can give them a bit of help and encouragement at certain times in the game, because we are still a very in-experienced team.

“In fairness to Paddy (McLaughlin) and Matty (Crossan) they had a solid enough game against Loughgall, but they have something in their locker, they have understanding and game intelligence, but other players in other parts of the pitch need to get more street wise.

“Teams are stopping us from playing and our offense players have to do more,” stated Kee.

In their last two league games ’Stute have faced two sides in Dergview and Loughgall who have had a never say die attitude, and Kee is expecting the Seasiders to be similar on Saturday.

“The performance and effort has been alright, we just have to raise the bar in terms of our play in the last third,” added Kee.

“At the end of the day supporters judge games on chances made and created, players beating defenders and getting shots in we didn’t do enough of that against Loughgall.

“But did we have the lion share of the game, yes, did Doc (Michael Dougherty) have much to do, no he didn’t, but our problem is that we have to get better offsenive play going, better movements, better crosses and passes.

“We know that teams have been coming to Drumahoe put men behind the ball, but we have to deal with that.

“We did a light session on Monday night, attack against defence and hopefully we’ll start getting a better understanding on how to deal with sides defending deep against us.”
