On rink 1 Rowly Woods, Tommy Crooks, Don McKee and Harold Smyth made a slow start against H Stevens and after 11 ends they found themselves trailing by17 shots to 8.
The Ballymena men recovered well over the remainder of the game and even though they only lost one further end they could not make up for the slow start eventually going down by 18 shots to 17.
Roy Kernohan, John Houston, George Stewart and Jim Cameron were in good form on rink 2 where they took on S Johnston. They completely dominated their game winning 12 of the regulation ends on their way to a fine 26-10 victory.
It was a game of two halves on rink 3 where Eddie Leckey, Dessie Shaw, Leslie Jackson and Billy Scullion were drawn against A Johnston.
The first 9 ends was a low scoring affair with the visitors holding a 4 shot lead. The next 9 ends however belonged almost entirely to the Braid men as they outscored their opponents by 18 shots to 5 to come back and claim an excellent win by 22 shots to 15.
Joe Kyle, Ken Connell, Liam Lyness, and John Greer had an interesting game against G Walsh on rink 4 with both teams winning the same number of ends.
The visitors could only accumulate a total of 9 shots as they scored 9 singles however it was better for the Ballymena rink who scored a total of 16 shots to claim victory by 7 shots.
This week Ballymena Midweek travel to Willowfield.
