Milk Cup mania hits Ballymena

BALLYMENA is preparing to roll out the red carpet as it hosts the Northern Ireland Milk Cup finals for the first time this week.

The shopiece deciders in the prestigious youth football tournament will be held back-to-back at Ballymena Showgrounds this Friday evening, starting with the Junior final at 4pm.

Look out, as well, on the night for a SPAR Taxi at the Showgrounds, filled with footballs, and all entrants have to do to win, is to 'Guess the number of Balls which are in the SPAR Taxi' with proceeds raised going to SPAR Charity Partner, NSPCC!

There are great prizes to be won including a Nintendo Wii, a Northern Ireland Shirt and a SPAR food hamper!

The tournament itself kicked off yesterday (Monday) but there is still plenty of action in both Ballymena and Broughshane between now and Friday.

The price-busting Milk Cup Multi Match ticket is going to be a winner in more ways than one this year!

Adult tickets for the whole week's tournament cost 22, with a youth ticket coming in at 11.

If you only fancy coming to watch one or two games adult tickets cost 6 and youth tickets 4 per match. Finals night tickets in Balymena Showgrounds will cost 12 for adults and 6 for youths.

Multi Match tickets are currently on sale at Ballymena Showgrounds, Seven Towers Leisure Centre, Tourist Information Centre and Houston's Mill. Alternatively you can purchase a ticket at the turnstiles.

Fans are reminded to get to Friday's finals night in good time due to the ongoing construction work on the new stand which will restrict the capacity.
