Moira got off to the best possible start when they took an early lead through the clinical finish of Leo Egge-Cousins.

However, local rivals Banbridge bounced back after this early set back when Owen Vennard was brought down outside the box and Reuben Turner stepped up to drill the free-kick high into the top left of the net, the Moira keeper with no chance.

Town went at the Moria rearguard in the early part of the second half and this pressure paid off when they went ahead.

Town played neat exchanges between Cameron Frizell and Shea Winters before the ball found Owen Vennard, whose shot took a bobble and dropped over the head of the Moira keeper to make it 2-1.

It got even worse for Moira soon after then Owen Vennard tapped home from close range to make it 3-1 to the hosts.

Moira gave themselves hope with 10 minutes to play as they made it 3-2 through the clinical finish of Fergal Henry.

He tucked home a clinical finish from the spot after Matthew Stewart had been brought down in the box.

It was too little, too late though as Banbridge managed to hold on and see out the narrowest of victories.
