Molloy backs Devine after cup stalemate

DERRY City skipper Barry Molloy was bitterly disappointed following their score-less draw with Leinster Senior League side Bluebell United, in their FAI Ford Cup Third round tie.

The Dubliners, who’s centre-back Peter Sherlock picked up the man of the match award, in truth could have caused a major upset but the holders live to fight another day.

The draw means there is a replay back at the Brandywell on Tuesday night (KO 7.45pm) and Molloy concedes he and his team-mates need to raise their game if they want to progress to the next round.

After the match the midfielder spoke to Sentinel Sport’s Editor Kevin McLaughlin.
