Morrison Junior Cup starts

THERE were only two games played in the Premier Division on Saturday, a much strengthened Newbuildings United Reserve side defeated Lincoln Courts 6-2, while Tullyally Colts and Drummond shared two goals and the points.

The first trophy of the season was won by Ardmore as they defeated Eglinton to retain the Sentinel Cup, on Friday night.

This week sees games in the first round of the Matt Morrison North West Junior Cup, while Eglinton host Newbuildings United Reserves and Ballykelly take on Drummond in the only two games in the Premier Division, there are also league matches in the First and Second Divisions.

BBOB v Dungiven Reserves

The Old Boys had a rest last week so they will be looking forward to getting back playing. Although their main aim this season is the league title they will want a run in this competition.

Dungiven will be big underdogs but if they can get their full side out then they are capable of giving the home side a game.

Prediction: BBOB.

Limavady Rugby Club v Donemana

The Roesiders are having a decent season, comprised mainly of local players they are a side that really do enjoy their football and at home they are difficult to beat.

Donemana themselves have had a couple of impressive performances where they have been scoring plenty of goals this could be an entertaining game.

Liverpool Supporters Club v Lincoln Courts

The Coleraine Saturday morning side have a very good record in this competition, they are once again in the top three in their league and having a settled side has helped.

The Courts will see this as being their last chance to salvage what has been a poor season so far, they must get things sorted out at the back after conceding six last week.

The Heights v Ardmore

Another Coleraine Saturday morning side who will go into this one as underdogs, they are having an ordinary season so far but with home advantage they will give it their all.

Ardmore are on the crest of a wave winning the Sentinel cup last Friday night they are going all out to make it a clean sweep this season, they should win this one.

Prediction: Ardmore.

Sion Rec. v Irish Street

Not a lot is known about the Tyrone men however teams never find it easy when they go there and they will fancy themselves, they are reportedly a very fit side with a few experienced players in their line up.

Irish Street enjoy their football and they have a settled side who are well organised they may find this one above them.
