The talented centre-back has been in fantastic form alongside duo Mark Scoltock and Paddy McLaughlin and Kee believes their partnership at the back has been the bench mark for his side’s super start to the season.

“We have three decent defenders playing at the minute,” he said.

“Paddy’s experienced, Scoltock’s experienced and Crown’s quality, in fact Crown has what it takes to becoming a quality Premiership player for the next ten years, because he’s still in his early 20s.”

Another man who Kee signalled out on Saturday was fellow centre-back Scoltock, who has slotted in nicely at the centre of the three at the back formation and is playing like he has never been away.

People maybe raised questions when we signed Mark, but we had to get a big bloke and that’s what he is but on top of that he can play.

“He’s a good footballer. He shows that he’s composed on the ball, he has got quality on the ball and he fits into our profile as a club.

“He has definitely been one of our catalysts this season, but him and Crown and (Paddy) McLaughlin I can’t fault them.

“Stephen O’Donnell has been doing well in training and he was excellent in the game against Strabane Athletic and that just goes to show that we can’t get the likes of him in the team, because those three are doing very, very well.”

The Stute gaffer also believes that his 3-5-2 formation which he used at Ferney Park on Saturday will over the long term benefit his team.

“To be honest the thing about playing three at the back means you can push another player up the pitch,” he added.

“So people have to see that we are being adventurous.

“It’s no fluke that we scored three goals in games, we are scoring goals in games and we have had chances in games like Ballymena for example and that’s because we have an excellent variation to our game.

“We aren’t a bad offensive unit and we have done really well with our defending, I’m really pleased with our defensive qualities in all our games.”
