McCann, won the Irish League Premier Division title with Cliftonville in the 1997/98 season.
Currently first team coach at Derry City, McCann, goes for a 4-2-1-3 formation, so here's his best 11 players he played with and the reasons why....
1. Paul Kee
Paul Kee (Goalkeeper - Ards): Paul was loaned to Ards from Oxford United and during that spell we won the League Cup and County Antrim Shield. He was superb that season for us and I believe most of our success was down to him.
2. Pascal Vaudequin
Pascal Vaudequin (Right Back - Derry City): People speak about todays modern day full backs Pascal was one way back in the 90s, overlap and underlapping from start to finish. Coached with him at the IFA, he has an amazing football brain.
3. Kevin Brady
Kevin (Gaff) Brady (Left back - Derry City & Ards): The quiet man. I played with him at Derry and Ards, ultimate professional. If you wanted a fight Kevin could fight, if you wanted to play he could also do that and he could do that at the very highest level.
4. Stuart Gauld
Stuart Gauld (Centre Back - Derry City, Finn Harps & Omagh Town): Stuarty made the game look so easy. He literally never had to break sweat, always new what was happening next, he was that good.
