Narrow defeat for ladies

Coleraine again missing several players through exams and injury took on a high flying, free scoring Loughgall side last week.

In a bid to contain this Coleraine started with five across midfield and began well frustrating Loughgall while playing some good football of their own spreading the ball wide at every opportunity, creating a number of chances and went into the break 0-0.

Coleraine continued to work hard at the start of the second half, battling well with several players struggling on with injuries when in the wet conditions Loughgall scored with the ball slipping past the Coleraine keeper.

Coleraine continued to battle and probe for an equaliser but with the loss of their left back through injury, Coleraine were forced to make a change and re-shuffle their side. Loughgall scored a second soon after with the ball again slipping past the Coleraine keeper who apart from this had a good game making a number of good saves.

The ladies deserve a lot of credit as they fought very hard and played some good football and unfortunately for them the result did not reflect this.
