Glenavon’s new signings sparked as they finished seven-up in their first outing of the year at Crumlin United on Tuesday night.

Eoin Bradley and Conor Dillon both started the game with Kevin Braniff starting the second half.

But it was the old guard who put Glenavon in front. A low cross by Guy Bates was turned in by Ciaran Martyn from close range before Bates bagged two, the second thanks to a wonderful assist from Bradley, to put the visitors 3-0 ahead inside 20 minutes.

Ten minutes from the break Andrew Hoey scored number four, finishing off a lovely move and receiving the final pass from Jonny Dallas.

Gary Hamilton rung the changes at the interval, bringing himself on just after the hour mark.

The manager added a fifth after being slipped through on goal by Braniff.

David Rainey made it a half dozen, winning the race with the onrushing Crumlin shotstopper to slide the ball home from just outside the box.

And when Hamilton found Mark Sykes, he caught out a United defender before setting up Braniff to complete the scoring.
