A towering 6’ 5” central defender, Niall played for UCD, Limerick, Bray Wanderers, Athlone Town and Drogheda United.

“It has been a hectic three weeks,” said Niall. “The offer came out of the blue through Tony Grant and Dean Fitzgerald. It is a great opportunity to work in the Irish League with a top team like Glenavon.

“I have had a few sessions with the players, but I can’t wait to get working with the full squad. At this time of the year players are away on holidays, but I’m very impressed with what I have seen so far.

“There are a number of young players with great potential which is important for any club.”
