New striker Tiarnan can’t wait to start

Glenavon have added more firepower to their front line with the signing of Tiarnan Mulvenna on a one and half year deal today.

The 24-year-old striker is hoping to make his debut on Tuesday night in Glenavon’s match against Glentoran at Mourneview Park.

Tiarnan, a Dundalk native, began his career in junior football in the town with Muirhevnamor and he progressed to Dundalk and then Drogheda United before returning to Dundalk where he played under Stephen Kenny last season.

“Gary Hamilton really sold the club to me,” said Tiarnan. “There is a good feeling around the club and it is great to get playing on grass again instead of the astro surface at Dundalk. I hope to get on against Glentoran at any stage and maybe score a goal to get me off the mark early on.”
