Derry duo in Northern Ireland squad
Former Derry City pair Danny Lafferty and Niall McGinn along with Eglinton’s Shane Ferguson, are in Northern Ireland’s 22 man squad for their forthcoming friendlies against Uruguay and Chile.
Michael O’Neill has named five uncapped players - Portsmouth goalkeeper Trevor Carson, Liverpool defender Ryan McLaughlin, Luke McCullough of Doncaster Rovers, Fulham’s Liam Donnelly and Dundee United midfielder Paul Paton - in the squad.
The game against Uruguay takes place in Montevideo on Friday, May 30 and they face Chile on Wednesday, June 4, in Valparaiso.
