Fergie thrilled with NI goal
NORTHERN Ireland international Shane Ferguson spoke to Sentinel Sport’s Editor Kevin McLaughlin, following Wednesday night’s friendly against Finland.
The midfielder netted his first goal for his country in front of the Kop at Windsor Park during the entertaining 3-3 draw against Mixu Paatelainen’s side.
Fellow Derry man Danny Lafferty was an unused substitute. Meanwhile duo David McDaid and Shane McEleney both played some part in Stephen Robinson’s Under 21’s 3-2 defeat in Hungary. In fact McEleney got himself on the score-sheet.
