Meanwhile, United under 15s faced Linfield in the national plate final on Friday evening but came out second best to an impressive Blues side who scored five unanswered goals.
A changed United starting line up,they were disappointingly 1-0 down after only 15 seconds and then two down after 5 minutes, and were always chasing the game after this.
The Skies did have their chances however and went close twice through Stephen McColgan, with two efforts cleared off the line but they will gain from the experience.
