But Kearney told Times Sport putting right last year’s disappointment is key for him.

“There’s a lot of things in the air going into this game, but losing the semi final against Ards last year is the big one for me,” he said.
“I’ve been driving that home to the players and it’s one I want to see us put right.
“I feel we have the makings of a real good cup side.
“We’ve shown in recent weeks we are more than a match for any team, when you take that in a one-off game like a cup match there’s no reason why we can’t go on and win the game.
“It’s a competition which has been nasty to us over the last few years.

“We’ve flirted with it and got close to it in recent seasons.
“It’s of the moment and this last season in particular, and in this last month we’ve really started to find our feet.
“We have to carry that in to Wednesday night, we have to make sure we go and hit that same level again to give ourselves a chance of going and turning them over.
