No more new faces at Inver Park

Larne will not be signing any more players, insists manager Paul Millar, because finances do not permit it. But he is equally adamant that he’s quite happy to be heading into the new season with the squad currently at his disposal and says he expects the team to do well in the IFA Championship 1.

That said, Millar confesses that Adam Dick has not yet actually put pen to paper, although he says the player has agreed and it’s merely only a question of putting his signature on the forms.

“That will happen very shortly and then we’re basically ready to go and rarin’ for the action to commence. The lads have all put in great shifts in the past three weeks and the level of enthusiasm within the changing rooms is very encouraging indeed,” explained Millar.

“With the Glentoran match having been cancelled, we couldn’t get another friendly arranged in time for last Saturday and, instead, we got all the players from the first team and the Olympic squad to play an in-house game up at The Cliff 3G pitch in Seacourt.
