Northend again games hit by weather

IN another disappointing weekend for all the Northend United Youth teams, waterlogged pitches caused the cancellation of their matches.

With a number of teams going for success in various League and Cup competitions, the weather has caused an unwelcome break in their fixture list.

The vast improving U10 team have reached their first final of the season after beating Ballysillan Youth in the Semi final, they now are looking forward to playing Barn United in the final.

The showpiece fixture of Northend U14s versus Cliftonville U14s in the NIBFA Cup is now rescheduled for this Saturday, March 6, in Ballymena.

MINI SOCCER ACADEMY

Although also cancelled on Saturday, due to a waterlogged pitch, the Northend United Mini Soccer Academy continues this Saturday at Dunfane Pitch 1 from 2.15-4pm.

Following on from a series of successful games against other Soccer Academies before Christmas, Northend Mini Soccer Academy is busy finalising a series of friendly games to be played over the coming weeks, in the lead up to Northend’s participation in the McDonald’s competition.
