Tournament organisers, Phil and Rodney aim to build upon the huge success from last year’s tournament when a number of sporting celebrities turned out to support the Northend cause.

Plans are already afoot for a similar number of celebrities to attend this year’s event.

The organisers have already received a number of 4-ball entries for this year’s event.

With slots filling up fast, participants are asked to get in contact with Phil or Rodney as soon as possible to reserve a slot in what promises to be another great day’s golf.

Meanwhile, in the North West and Coleraine District Youth League Northend’s U11s fine form continued at the weekend with a 4-3 win over Maiden City Colts in a match where the young Blues raced to a 3-0 lead in the first half.

Also in the North West and Coleraine and District Youth League the U9s lost to Carniny in a Knock-Out Cup Match, in a match where finishing was again their downfall.

The U12s suffered an uncharacteristic defeat to Carrick Rangers in the Belfast and East Antrim League while the U13s drew 2-2 with North Belfast United.

In the National League it wasn’t such a good day with both the U14s and U16s losing to Coleraine Youth Academy and Maiden City Colts respectively.
