Northend United Youth FC round-up: Ducks shot down in Blues’ victory

NORTHEND United under-16s recorded an excellent 3-1 victory over Ballinamallard at the Ballymena Showgrounds on Saturday morning in the National League.

The U14s had a free weekend in the National League but look forward to their derby match against Carniny next weekend.

In the Belfast and East Antrim League, the U12s maintained their current rich vein of form, when they beat Antrim Rovers 6-1at the Antrim Forum, while Johnny Sayers’ U13s lost to Apex Sky Blues in a rather disappointing performance.

In the North West and Coleraine and District Youth League, the Northend Babies U9s continue to impress the watching crowds but unfortunately lost 2-1 against Ballycastle United in a match they dominated but couldn’t convert the domination into goals.

The U10s continued in their winning ways, beating a good Institute team by a 6-0 score line. Finally the U11s lost to Coleraine Olympic in a match where finishing was their downfall.
