Northend United Youth FC round-up: U-16s share spoils in ‘derby’ game

IN the Elite National League, the U16s travelled to neighbours Coleraine in a Derby match and eventually shared the points in a keenly contested game.

In the Belfast and East Antrim League, the U12s maintained their top of the table position when they drew with nearest challengers, Carrick Rangers, 3-3. Johnny Sayers U13s returned to winning form with a convincing 4-1 win over Barn United.

In the North West and Coleraine and District Youth League, the Northend Babies U9s raced to a 5-0 lead over their neighbours Carniny in the opening minutes before Carniny were allowed to play an additional man and made this pay, eventually winning 8-7 in a match of the day.

The U10s continued in their winning ways, beating Maiden City by a 12-2 score line, while the U11s lost to Maiden City Academy.

The Club’s Football Development Centre took a break on Friday night due to the Halloween festivities but will resume again on Friday 2nd November from 6.00pm to 7.30pm at the Showgrounds Pitch 3
