Northend United Youth prize nights this week

The Junior Awards Night for the U7s, U8s, U9s, U10s and U11s will be held on Friday 27th May at the Michelin Club.

The Senior Awards Night for the U12s, U13s, U14s, U15s, U16s and U17s will also be held at the Michelin Club on Thursday 26th May.

Meanwhile, The U10s United team booked a place in this season’s NWCDYL Plate final on Saturday 4th June with a top performance at the weekend against Ballymoney United U11s in the semi-final.

Ally McGarry and Jamie Pirie’s young team have been in outstanding form this season, winning a lot of fans along the way with their entertaining play.

It was a good weekend also for the other Northend U10 team when they were involved in a local derby match against Ballymena United and again turned another special display, coming out on top in this game. Under the direction of manager Peter Kennedy the U10s Youth panel are turning heads with their entertaining play.

The U12 Youth team were involved in a 2-2 draw with Coleraine Olympic on Saturday before going on to play in the Greenisland Friendship Cup on Sunday.

Elsewhere both the U11s and U12s United were playing in the KRD Tournament, organised by Ballymoney Youth Academy.

Finally, the Club continued on with its JBE Football Development Centre on Wednesday night at St Louis School 3G

JBE FOOTBALL DEVELOPMENT CENTRE

Northend United’s JBE Football Development Centre continues on Wednesday 25th May from 6.00pm to 7.00pm at St Louis 3G. This is the last session before the FDC takes a well earned summer break.

OPEN NIGHTS

Already planning for next season, Northend United are holding their annual open training nights on Monday 20th and Thursday 23rd June at the Ballymena Showgrounds.

The sessions are open to all and will be supervised by Northend’s Irish FA’s qualified coaches.

2006s to 2009s should attend on Tuesday 21st from 6.30 to 8.30pm, while 2000s to 2005s should attend on Thursday 23rd June , again from 6.30 to 8.30pm

SLEMISH CUP

Following on from last season’s hugely successful inaugural Slemish Cup tournament, Northend United are again hosting this popular competition on Saturday 25th June.

As promised, the Club has expanded the age groups this year, adding an additional competition for the 2008s to the existing 2006s competition.

With a confirmed 32 teams already registered in total combining both age groups, including 2 teams from Dublin, the tournament promises to be a top day’s football in the Ballymena calendar.
