Rangers signed Jonny Frazer on loan from Glentoran, plus former Portadown midfielder Liam McKenna.

“I am delighted to sign for Carrick, it is important for me at this stage of my career to get games and once I spoke with Niall I knew this is where I wanted to come,” Frazer told the Carrick Rangers website. “I have been shown around the stadium and facilities and it is great to see the work that has gone in over the last few years.

“I am coming here with a point to prove and I can’t wait to start playing in amber.”

Currie described the winger as ‘an explosive outlet’.

“We have been searching for an explosive outlet like Jonny for quite a while so his signing will give us a wonderful option to get in behind teams,” Currie said on the club website. “We are absolutely delighted that he has chosen to come to us as he had options of two or three other Premiership clubs to go to so we are over the moon that he has committed to us.

“Jonny’s signing will enhance the strong squad we have already built here and we are delighted to welcome him to Carrick.

“Our thanks go to Mick McDermott, Paul Millar and Glentoran for their help in facilitating this loan deal.”
