The top two in the Premiership both won leaders Foyle Wanderers won a thriller 5-4 against Claudy Rovers, while Lincoln Courts defeated Greysteel 3-0.

In the other game Lisahally’s good form continued with a 3-0 win at Tullyally.

This Saturday the two remaining local sides are involved in the Irish Junior Cup, while there are three games in the Premier Division.

Irish Junior Cup

BBOB v Ballyvea

Can Don Olphert’s side keep their season alive? They have had a disastrous time of it so far but they have reserves their best performances for this competition. They must seriously take a good look at themselves after some poor performances.

Their opponents defeated Basement last week in a cup competition and the Old Boys also defeated basement in the previous round so they if at their best have nothing to fear.

Prediction: BBOB.

Lisbellaw v Limavady United Drummond

This game has been chosen as the tie of the round. The home side are one of the top sides in the Fermanagh and Western league and with home advantage they will start as favourites to progress.

The Roesiders have hit a bit of form in recent games. They have some very good young players and a good mix of experience but that may not be enough.

Prediction: Lisbellaw.

Premier Division

Claudy Rovers v Ardmore

Rovers went down by the odd goal of nine away at league leaders Foyle Wanderers last week which was a decent performance. However they continue to ship to many goals they must resolve that immediately.

Ardmore are going all out for a clean sweep of trophies. They are still involved in the two cup competitions and are breathing down the necks of the two sides above them in the table, another three points seems the most likely outcome.

Prediction: Ardmore.

Tullyally v Foyle Wanderers

Tullyally are in free fall they haven’t won a game since the break and all their good form has disappeared. Their confidence has taken a hammering and they are sliding down the table.

Wanderers are still unbeaten in the league and their ace striker Robbie Godfrey has already scored more than thirty goals this season, he should get a few more here.

Prediction: Foyle Wanderers.

Greysteel v Lisahally

These two met a couple of weeks ago with Lisahally winning comfortably. Greysteel were hoping for a big improvement in the second half of the season but it hasn’t happened so far and they are slipping down the table and look like relegation material.

Lisahally had another excellent result last week and they are pushing for a top three finish at least. They are playing some very attractive attacking football and will be strong favourites to do the double over their neighbours.

Prediction: Lisahally.
