NW Football: Lisahally cause major City Cup shock

First Division leaders Lisahally continued their impressive form with a 1-0 victory over Premier Division kingpins Drummond thanks to a goal from Aidy O’Kane to book their place in the semi-final of the City Cup.

Holders Claudy Rovers also bowed out going down 3-2 to BBOB with their top marksmen Joe McCready and Grant Garden on the score sheet.

Foyle Wanderers were once again in top form in their 5-1 home win over Greysteel their goal scorers were James McCracken and Craig Culbert with two each and one from Robbie Godfrey.

Tullyally also booked their place in the last four with a 3-1 win at Eglinton Cooke, Lyttle and Alan McFaul were all on target.

In the only game in the Premier Division, Ardmore had a resounding 7-3 win at Caw with hat-tricks from Mo Crossan and Calvin McCallion.

In the First Division, Burnfoot drew 1-1 with Glendermott and there were wins for BBOB Res and Dromore in the Second Division.

This weekend it’s cup and league action down for decision.
