Lmavady United Drummond had a 1-0 win at home to St Mary’s Newtownabbey, Eglinton lost by the only goal of the game at Knockmenagh Swifts, while Burnfoot were hammered 6-1 at Strule United.

The games between BBOB and Basement, Kilrea United and Foyle Wanderers and Donemana and Killen Rangers will go ahead this Saturday.

There are fixtures in the second round of the City Cup also down for decision.

Limavady Rugby Club v Tullyally

The Rugby club are having their best season since joining the league. they are currently joint leaders in the second division, their hard work in recent seasons is now bearing fruition. However this will be their biggest game yet against a Tullyally side who are playing well and are climbing up the Premiership table. An away win looks likely.

Prediction: Tullyally.

Lisahally v Greysteel

A local derby here. The home side have lost four of their seven league games so far but on occasions they have shown that they are a decent side especially at home.

For the first time this season Greysteel will almost be at full strength now that Faughanvale’s gaelic has come to an end. This may need extra time.

Prediction: Lisahally.

Draperstown v Limavady United Drummond

Draperstown are running away with the First division title and they are a side who will not look out of place in the Premiership. They have a settled side who play for one another and at home they will be difficult to beat.

The visitors have hit a bit of form in recent games and they had a good win in the Irish Junior Cup last week. They have some promising young players in their side who will probably play at a higher level.

Prediction: Limavady United Drummond.

Dungiven v Ardmore

What a difficult game for the home side playing one of the top teams in the Premiership and also one of the favourites to lift this trophy. One thing for sure about the Dungiven men they never know when they are beaten.

Ardmore manager Damien McGee has a wealth of talent at his disposal and in Calvin McCallion he has a superb striker, they should win with goals to spare.

Prediction: Ardmore.

Douglas Bridge v Sion Swifts

First Division verses Second in this tie. The home side are having an ordinary season sitting in the bottom half of the table, the visitors are having an even worse season than their opponents although they have shown a bit of improvement recently.

This could go either way with home advantage making the difference.

Prediction: Douglas Bridge.
