Matt Morrison Cup

Claudy United v Lincoln Courts

The home side are having a decent season with ace goal scorer Trevor McSparron hitting the target regularly. Their main aim has to be promotion but they wouldn’t mind a cup run.

Lincoln are one of the form sides in the Premier Division and are top of the pile. A quality side with star players in Gary King and Steven Mooney they have to be the selection.

Prediction: Lincoln Courts.

Eglinton v Newbuildings United Res

An all First Division clash, the Villagers are in second spot in the division although Draperstown look to have it sewn up. They are mostly an all local side who play for each other.

The visitors are in mid-table they continue to give youth a chance hoping to groom them for their first team. The home side might be too strong.

Prediction: Eglinton.

Premier Division

Limavady United Drummond v Claudy Rovers

The Drummond men are having a poor season and they bowed out of the Junior Cup last Saturday. They are a shadow of the side they had last season and it is worrying times for their management.

Rovers have hit a bit of form in their last number of games with Monteith especially scoring regularly. They will travel full of confidence and may get another victory.

Prediction: Claudy Rovers.

Foyle Wanderers v Tullyally Colts

Andy McClintock’s side suffered their first defeat of the season in the Junior Cup and it will be interesting to see their immediate reaction. A win here would see them join Lincoln Courts at the top.

The Colts had an excellent win over Drummond last Saturday where Dean O’Neill helped himself to a hat-trick and they will be up for this one, there should be goals a plenty.

Prediction: Foyle Wanderers.
