Eglinton v Lincoln Courts

This has been selected as the tie of the round, the Villagers are always a difficult side to beat at home, they had a good win last week against Burnfoot but they know that this will be a lot tougher.

The Courts have a quality side and although they were held by Lisahally to a draw last time they were very impressive in their opening day win they should be to strong for the home side but it won’t be easy.

Prediction: Lincoln Courts.

Bloomfield v Drummond United

The home side have lost their last two games in the Border Cup when they went down two one and last Saturday they were hammered eight one away at Ballynahinch Olympic so their confidence will be very low.

Drummond had a good win last Saturday defeating Tullyally Colts four two, they were also unlucky to lose their opening game at Ardmore where they again played well, they should win this one.

Prediction: Drummond United.

Churchill United v 3rd Ballyclare OB.

The Wilton Park side have had a poor start to the season losing their opening two games and having two men sent off on the opening day of the season, they look as if they are in for a season of struggle.

The visitors play in the Ballymena Junior Division three they scored five in their last outing and they will travel with confidence and may return victorious.

Prediction: 3rd Ballyclare OB.

Claudy United v New Santos

The men from Claudy had a disappointing day at Draperstown last week where they went down 3-0; however a lot of teams will find it difficult to get a result there, they must improve for this one.

Santos have won their last two games narrowly two one, they play in Division Four of the Mid Ulster league and are one of the favourites to win it.

Prediction: New Santos.

Donemana v Newtownbreda

One thing for sure about the Donemana men is that they will give their all and now with the cricket season finished they should be at full strength however they lost at Caw last Saturday but were missing players.

Newtownbreda play in the second division of the Northern Amateur league and they drew three all last week, the home side might give their popular manager Richard Hepburn a victory.

Prediction: Donemana.

Roe Rovers v Erne Rovers

The Limavady men are a far cry from a number of seasons ago but to their credit they are still one of the best organised sides in the league, they had a welcome away win last Saturday which bodes well for this tie.

The visitors are unbeaten so far in the Fermanagh and Western Division three, they are reportedly a well organised outfit who like to knock it about and they may prove to strong for the home side.

Prediction: Erne Rovers.

Woodlands v Tullyally

The Ballymena and District First Division is a decent standard and that’s where the home side play they drew one each last time out and with home advantage they will fancy their chances.

Tullyally although losing last week put up another good performance, they have scored six in their opening two games but they have also been conceding to many, if they can tighten things up they may go through.

Prediction: Tullyally.
