Two stunning Sean O’Connor strikes meant the Dubliners rightfully secured the points.

On 39 minutes the man of the match volleyed home from 25 yards, after Barry Molloy’s header fell perfectly to him; City levelled things from the penalty spot through Michael Rafter, after debutant Eoghan Osbourne was up ended inside the box by Billy Dennehy on 49 minutes, but soon after O’Connor blasted home another super long range goal, which turned out to be the winner.
