O’Flynn has hisappetite back

The former Derry City and St Patrick’s Athletic striker may get his first start at Coagh United this Saturday and Kee believes the 31-year-old will want to reignite his career.

“Stephen has signed because he feels he can make an impact and I agree with that,” he admitted.

“He’s keen to do well, he’s very hungry, he’s got his appetite back for the game. We all know that he’s a quality player, he has a big reputation and I’m sure he’ll want to redevelop his reputation back up to a good level.

“He has missed playing, after falling out of love of the game a wee bit, but I see a very determined focused player and hopefully that will benefit the team.”

With the transfer window now open, the ’Stute gaffer also admits that certain players may leave the club this month.

“We probably will have a big squad after this window, as I’m looking to maybe get in another defender and midfielder, but the squad was told this last week, that we might be bringing in three or four new faces.

“The squad were also told that if they want to kick on then they have to be happy with it, but having given that option one or two players have said that they want to play regularly, so we’ll just have to see how that goes, but they have two or three weeks to decide that.

“In fairness we have three or four players who would interest other clubs, but I’m hoping that they are going to stay, because they are optimistic about kicking on even further, but we definitely a few players who could play at higher level.”

Meanwhile their will be a bus travelling to Coagh, leaving the Coffee Stop, Drumahoe at 11am sharp.
