Old Boys aimto bounce back

THIS season’s Sentinel Cup final will see holders Ardmore take on Eglinton after both sides won their semi-finals 2-0 against Ballykelly and BBOB respectively.

In the Premier Division, Tullyally Colts and Lincoln Courts shared four goals and the points while Newbuildings United Reserves got a welcome 2-1 victory over City Colts.

There is a full programme in all divisions this Saturday.

Premier Division

Newbuildings United Res v BBOB

The Old Boys have had a disastrous two weeks knocked out of the Coca/Cola Irish Junior Cup and then losing in the semi-final of the Sentinel Cup. Don Olphert won’t be happy as their new signings have yet to settle in.

Newbuildings were almost back to full strength last week and it showed that when they can get all their players out they are a decent side.

Prediction: BBOB.

City Colts v Tullyally Colts

The home side after a few decent performances at the beginning of the season have been very lack lustre recently a big improvement is needed.

Tullyally played well in their share of the spoils with Lincoln Courts however they still are lacking a bit of firepower up front but they will be favourites to win this one.

Prediction: Tullyally Colts.

Caw v Lincoln Courts

Caw had no game last week which disappointed them as they are now almost clear of injuries, the game is a Waterside derby which adds a bit of substance to it.

The Courts are still not firing on all cylinders and they are a bit off the pace, they must start winning matches.

Prediction: Score Draw.

Eglinton v Drummond

The Villagers will be in a buoyant mood after booking their place in the Sentinel Cup final, they are very much a force to be reckoned with as they have some excellent players in their side.

Drummond’s main aim this season is to stay away from the bottom two, they have blown a bit hot and cold so far this season and they may get nothing from this game.

Prediction: Eglinton.

Ardmore v Ballykelly

A repeat of last Saturday’s semi-final, the home side won that one but they were made to fight all the way, they know that another win would keep the pressure on the leaders.

The Kings Lane side have still the Irish Junior Cup to look forward to but they still need to pick up league points.

Prediction: Ardmore.
