Old Boys on song

LURGAN BBOB eased home by four goals without reply on Saturday against Tullygally in Mid-Ulster Reserve League Division Two.

It provided the Old Boys with back-to-back wins - with the opening goal arriving for Willie Irvine thanks to neat control and strong running from deep.

Philip Moutray and David Harvey each fired over the target before a Simon Dowey corner-kick forced Tullygally to clear off the line.

A triple substitution helped BBOB double the lead as John Uprichard raced clear on the left and found Moutray for the latter to double the tally.

Bill Morrow, another substitute, came close from distance ahead of Irvine increasing the advantage off Moutray’s pass.

The final goal was scored by Irvine in fortuitous circumstances.

Peter Mills bagged the game’s only goal on Saturday as Oxford Sunnyside secured success by 1-0 over Stranmillis in the same division.
