Councillor Jenny Palmer, Chair of the Lisburn-Castlereagh PEACE III Partnership, commented of the event, “It’s great to see young people from all traditions coming together to play football. They get a chance to be coached by professionals, mix with other young people and just have some fun in a shared space. This funding gives them that opportunity and will hopefully have a positive effect on attitudes towards respect and tolerance not only in sport but also within and between communities.”

Jennifer McCann stated: “The great numbers attending the event and the positive work being carried out in the Dunmurry-Colin areas are a credit to GDPRP.”

Michael George Co-Chair of GDPRP commented: “This is one of our premier events in a very busy schedule throughout the summer. A massive thanks to our hard working team of Mark, Brendan, Nabeela and Deborah who have spent a great deal of time pulling our summer programme together.”
