Despite Islandmagee’s dominance, Dromara pulled one back on 65 minutes when the referee pointed to the spot, adjudging Andrew Phillips to have handled the ball in the box.
Island regrouped and pushed for another to seal all three points. They got their reward 15 minutes from time when Phillips redeemed himself for the penalty by heading home Andy Waide’s inviting free-kick. A couple of minutes later, Phillips was at it again, notching his second of the afternoon with a volley after Dromara had failed to clear.
