PICTURE GALLERY: Ballymena Community Sport Football Fun Week

BALLYMENA Borough Council's Community Sport Programme last week completed its first annual Football Funweek of 2010.

The programme, in its sixth summer, was run in partnership with the IFA Grassroots Development Programme and was funded by the Department for Social Development.

Almost 60 children enjoyed the progamme which included football multi-skills, technincal development and small sided World Cup tournament.

All the participants received a brand new Mitre football and a Community Sport water bottle, kindly funded by Ballymena Borough Council's Good Relations Programme and the Community Relations Unit OFMDFM.

All the players had a fantastic football experience and also received a medal for their hard work over the week.

Furthermore, each age group, four in all, received an award for Player of the Week, Most Improved Player and Sports Person of the Week.

The second Football Funweek runs in Ballykeel from the 9th to the 20th August from 10.30am to 1.30pm.
