Poor finishing sees Banbridge Rangers beaten

Banbridge Rangers have now suffered successive league defeats after going down 4-1 to Lower Maze.

The Gers squad has been stretched over the last week with a number of absentees and injuries. They’ll be looking to climb the Intermediate A table after three months without league fixtures.

The difference on Saturday was the quality of finishing as both teams created numerous chances in what was an open game. Rangers’ goal came on 76 minutes through Colin Cousins to reduce the arrears to 3-1. Any hint of a comeback was extinguished when Lower Maze scored a fourth only three minutes later.

On Saturday, Rangers host Markethill Swifts at Cheney Park (kick off at 3.15pm).
