Ports fans to vote on away kit

Portadown fans have been handed the opportunity to vote for next season's away kit.

An online poll open to members of the official club forum is set to end this week.

“This is one of the forward steps off the back of the recent meeting between the Portadown Supporters’ Society and club Board of Directors,” said a PSS spokesman. “It is an idea put forward and the club officials agreed and felt it was a great opportunity.

“We are delighted to have agreed this with the club for the first time.

“We know at present there are other very serious and more pressing matters ongoing with the club.

“This is in no way an attempt to distract from those matters, however, there will be a team next and they will need a kit to play in.

“Our kit supplier, Uhlsport, has given a deadline to choose the kit which the club must adhere to.

“There are three options presented by the club and each forum members can vote once for the kit they would prefer to wear next season.”
