Ports off the mark with first win

PORTGLENONE'S first Ballymena and Provincial Intermediate League victory of the season was certainly worth waiting for!

After six successive defeats on their return to the Michaelin Athletic Club-sponsored championship, Michael Larkin's men notched their first win in style, with a 6-3 cuffing of Ballycastle United on Saturday.

But the news wasn't so good for the Ballymena borough's other two intermediate clubs, with Clough Rangers Athletic losing 6-1 at Dunloy, while Raceview bowed out of the Irish Cup after a 4-2 home defeat by Comber Rec.
