Prize time for Northend United youth

NORTHEND United Youth FC held the first of its two prize nights on Saturday, with the awards fr the under-10 and under-11 sections.

The Michelin Clubrooms were packed to capacity for this event with many parents and grand parents attending.

The winners were:

Team Awards: U10 – Ryan McLaughlin; U11– Mark Herbison.

Most Improved: U10 - Tarlagh McCrory, Alex O'Boyle; U11 – Jamie Crawford.

Best Trainer: U10 – Aaron Montgomery, Aaron Campbell; U11 – Rhys O'Mullan.

Clubman of the Year: U10 – Shea O'Brien; U11 – Conor McHugh.

Supporter of the Year: U10 – Siobhan O'Boyle; U11 – Frank Sempey.

Goal of the Year: U10 – Cory Little; U11 – Conor Graham

Top Goalscorer: U10 – Cory Little (18 goals); U11 – Zack Herbison (39 goals).

Young Player of the Year: U10 – Scott Sempey.

Player of Year for BEAIYL U11s – Zack Herbison

The second of this season's Prize Nights for the U12, U13 and U14 teams is scheduled for Saturday 22nd May 6.30pm at the Michelin Club. With a large crowd of players and parents attending, a great night's craic is again expected.

The final Prize Evening, for the Mini Soccer Academy, is again being held in the Michelin Club on Saturday 29th May, commencing at 2pm.

With all the competitive action now over, Northend under-13s lost 3-2 to Coleraine Youth Academy in a friendly match. Jordan Donnelly and Ryan Gault were the Northend scorers.

MINI SOCCER ACADEMY

The Mini Soccer Academy concludes on Friday 21st May at Dunfane Pitch 1 from 6.30pm to 8.00pm

GEORGE BEST COMMUNITY CUP

Northend United Youth's U13 team entered this prestigious pre-season competition which is taking place in Belfast from July 16-18.

With 50 per cent of participants coming from the UK Mainland or Republic of Ireland, this again pushes Northend up against the elite teams from far and near.
