Putting something back into community

LURGAN Town FC are marking their 25th year by giving something back to the community through donations of sporting equipment to local schools where a large number of their players come from.

The club feel it is their duty to give a little bit back to those schools by supplying them with equipment ranging from mini soccer goals to a bag of footballs.

The plan is to make a donation to all local primary schools over a set period. Dickson Primary School were the first school to receive equipment from Lurgan Town FC which consisted of one set of 12’x 6’ mini goals, a bag of size 3 footballs plus a set of training cones.

Club Secretary Philip McKinley along with committee member Brian Gordon recently made the presentation to Dickson Primary School Sports teacher Mr Stuart Corkin.
