Quarter final for Drumbo

DRUMBO FC are getting ready for the Quarter Final of the Coca Cola Junior Cup tomorrow (Saturday).

A small local club, the achievment is testament to the good work being done at the club and helped by support from Lisburn Council in recent years.

The club will play York Road FC at Front Park, Drumbo in the encounter.

The club have had their ground reconstructed, with the help of Lisburn council, getting new changing rooms, pitch fenced off, new football pitch, car park and ground up to intermediate status, with over £460,000 spent.

The club is having one of their best seasons in years making club history by beating Celtic Club Lurgan No1 in the last 16 of the Irish Junior Cup and reaching the quarter finals against York Road.

Drumbo are sitting third in the league with games in hand and will be looking to push hard for promotion.The club has brought in a lot of talented players this year, and manager Philip Harris will be looking to keep strengthening to keep the club progressing.
