Question session with manager proves a success

A LARGE crowd gathered at the Ballymena United Social Club on Thursday night for a successful ‘Evening with Glenn Ferguson’.

The evening hosted by new Supporters’ Liaison Officer Philip Simpson attracted over 100 enthusiastic Ballymena United supporters eager to hear the plans of the managerCompered by Davy King, Glenn Ferguson spoke at length covering a range of topics including his experiences so far at the Showgrounds and his plans and ambitions for clubs as questions were fielded from the floor but also interactively live via the internet.

Youth Development Officer, Joe McCall, also gave the gathered crowd an insight into the ongoing progress in youth football at the club – stating that the club has built relationships with all the youth football teams in the town and will strive to make sure that the best young footballers in the area get their opportunities at United.

The management committee was represented by Robert Cupples and John Taggart who spoke freely and honestly when questioned about the progress of the club on and off the field, whilst Iain Black (Community Relations) and Adrian Scullion (Health and Safety) both shared information with the gathered crowd.

Supporters Liaison Officer, Philip Simpson, was pleased with the evening. “This will hopefully be the first of many similar evenings between the club and the supporters.

“I would like to thank everyone that came along to the meeting and also to all those who spoke on behalf of the club, I believe everyone seen it as a valuable and interesting event”.
