Tandragee Rovers had taken the lead with fifteen minutes to go but when a corner was headed to the edge of the area Fulton was on hand to volley into the top corner and provide a positive result to the new management team at the Gers.

The first opening of the match arrived on 8 minutes when Colin Cousins skipped passed two challenges and struck a low shot which Rovers keeper Marshall did well to get fingertips to.

Tandragee grew into the game and had a spell of intense pressure with Dobbs forcing Crawford into a save when through one on one and the rebound was cleared off the line by Frazer.

Banbridge Rangers were forced into a double change when two niggling injuries surfaced with Ward and O’Neill making way for Porter and Fulton. Tandragee were playing a patient game and content to allow Rangers to have possession and territory and capitalise through counter attacking football. With fifteen minutes to go the away side found the breakthrough when Jonny Black played a neat one two on the edge of the box before curling low past Crawford.

In the final minutes of the game Banbridge Rangers had several corners in succession and when one of these was headed out to the edge of the area, Gareth Fulton was on hand to volley over the crowded penalty area and into the top corner to the delight of the Rangers touchline. In stoppage time two close offside calls could have seen Rangers take all three points but at the end of the game a point was a very welcome boost after failing to add any points on the board in the three league games in December.
