Rangers lose out to Civil Service
After winning the relegation battle with fellow strugglers Civil Service last week, Grange Rangers were aiming to complete an Amateur League Division 2B double at Stormont, but it was the hosts who prevailed.
Service opened the scoring, but in the 11th minute Rangers were back on level terms when Phil Gregg knocked in the rebound after Matty King’s initial effort had been parried by the keeper.
Rangers’ front three – King, Aaron Reid and Phil Gregg - all spurned chances, but the home side made no mistake from penalties conceded by Johnny White and Reid to turn round rather fortuitously 3-1 ahead.
