Rangers set to host DC

CARRICK Rangers will be without the services of defenders Anto Lagan and Chris Murray for tonight’s Carling Premiership match against Donegal Celtic at Seaview.

Lagan was sent off in Saturday’s 2-2 draw with Glenavon while right-back Murray is also suspended as Rangers go in search of their first win at their temporary home.

The two sides met earlier this season at Suffolk Road and it was Carrick who came away with a 2-1 win thanks to goals from Lagan and Davy McAlinden.

Speaking ahead of the game Carrick boss Stephen Small said: “Tonight and the target is two-fold; to get a first win at Seaview but also to do the double in the league.

“As was the case with Glenavon, we beat them away in the first round of fixtures and now we have a chance to make it six points taken against them.

“It will be very difficult to do that, though, because they are a team who play with a siege mentality and are hard to break down.

“Once more, it’s a match where there’s lots of pressure on both teams. But we are well used to that now and I’m hoping for a good result,” added Small.
