Chris McKee signs contract extension with Rangers

Rangers have confirmed Chris McKee has signed a contract extension that will tie him to Ibrox until 2022.

This is a welcome sign of progress and hope for the Northern Ireland U19 International striker, who has made an impact this season in the B team set-up under coach Kevin Thomson.

Now in his third season in Glasgow, Carrickfergus native McKee will be striving to impress in his development with the aim of getting into Steven Gerrard's plans.

On his Twitter account, the 18-year-old former Linfield player stated: "Delighted to sign a new deal with @RangersFC can't wait to see what the future holds."
