RBL left frustrated with draw against Woodlands

James McPartland slotted home from a corner with a defender and keeper on the line but amazingly the referee blew up for offside.

Sadly for the RBL this pattern was to continue for the remainder of the game with Woodlands being awarded some very dubious decisions.

Despite this early setback RBL controlled much of the first half and, but for wasteful finishing, would have broken the deadlock.

Steven Ramsey showed great composure to end the best move of the match when he slid home after having broke clear from his own half of the pitch.

RBL looked to have three points in the bag but for a blatant offside not being given which resulted in a corner for Woodlands. Tired legs and a lack in concentration saw the Woodlands striker head home the equaliser.

The referee then blew the final whistle straight after the restart a whole six minutes into injury time, but for bad misses and referee decisions this was three points that should have came back to Cookstown.

This week the RBL have a massive derby game against local rivals Cookstown Olympic at Beechway with a 2pm kick off.
