Remedy could do the trick for Kris

KRIS Lindsay’s injury problems could be coming to an end, if an injury specialist’s advice works the wonders he predicts.

The central defender’s career has been blighted with regular and lengthy spells on the sidelines but new insoles in his boots could finally provide the cure to his woes.

Lindsay joined Glenavon on loan from Linfield in January but he was injured in his opening game.

After joining the club permanently in the summer, he could finally be back in action in a month’s time but it was another recent niggle that his boss Gary Hamilton hopes will work to his long-term benefit.

He said: “Kris has got a bit of a set-back. It’s nothing major and it might be a blessing in disguise because he went to the foot specialist because of it and got told that he needs insoles.

“The specialist reckons that the majority of his injuries have been because his feet have been so flat. Hopefully that will help him now.

“He said it was no wonder that he did his cruciate due to the shape of his feet so hopefully it can prove to be a massive boost in the long run. Hopefully the insoles can do the job and help him to avoid injury in future.”
